Your gift will help URI to green the Elm City and address environmental injustices. 

URI has two main programs that need your support. Our Community Greenspace enables local volunteer groups to revitalize their local streetscape, vacant lot, and/or adjacent park.  Through this program, we partner with over 40 grassroots groups and hundreds of volunteers to support community-based greening.  

Our GreenSkills program provides paid job training in planting free street trees for New Haven  residents who request them and in building bioswales that reduce flooding and pollution. URI hires interns from local high schools and adults in the EMERGE program who have a history that includes incarceration.
