Summary

The Newhall and Division group changed to an active group from emeritus status in 2012. This is a wonderful group of hard-working neighbors living in Division, Newhall and Thompson Streets who are dedicated to beautifying their neighborhood and community building. They are dedicated to stewardship of streetscapes and front yards in which they worked last year and spent the first few weeks weeding, and mulching front yards and pruning tree branches and weeding and mulching the bases to deter growth of weeds. This summer, the group focused on extending their work in the neighboring streets by doing community outreach earlier in the season, and planted four trees in Newhall Street and completed lead remediation in two front yards towards the end of the summer.
