Summary

Located at the corner of Saltonstall Ave. and Lloyd street, the greenspace was transformed into a beautiful garden from a vacant abandoned lot. The group comprises of its group leader and her family who live adjacent to the greenspace. This year marks the 12th year of the participation of this group in URI's greenspace program. As an emeritus group this year, the group focused on stewardship of the space with minimum restoration. With the help of the Common Grounds school crew, Adeli's family help spread five yards of cedar mulch, pruned vegetation and weeded. They also removed the weeds that were growing along the fence and spreading out to the sidewalk. The group also replaced hosta and yucca at the entrance of the greenspace.
