Summary
This year Shepard St. returned to work after a year off and breathed new life into their space. After over a decade of work Shephard St. garden is a beautiful oasis of verdant plants and lots of shade. Watching the dogwood bloom truly lit up the space and welcomed in fresh excitement about the space. This summer the group worked on clearing the space of two years’ worth of weeds to uncover a wide variety of plants as well as a stone dust path that was a neighborhood favorite among the local children who would come in and ride their bikes. The path was given a fresh layer of stone to create a welcoming entrance and several new perennials were welcomed by exciting children who helped to carry on the gardens legacy.
