2017 Greenspace Report

The Troup Group/Beers Street group has been part of the Greenspace program for many years now and the fruits of their labor are apparent to anyone taking a stroll down Beers Street. Both sides of the street are lined with well-kept trees from Edgewood Avenue to Chapel Street and the group takes great pride in its stewardship efforts. The group, led by Greenspace leader, Charlie Nixon, continued its strong neighborhood restoration efforts by planting perennials to brighten up the curb strips and pruning street trees. By season’s end the group planted a total of 69 perennials of various colors and textures.
