Summary

The whole 2016 season was spent doing maintenance that the site greatly needed. This included watering, weeding, pruning and pulling out the bittersweet and honeysuckle vines that were creeping over the shrubs. At the end of their season the group received a much needed help from Chris who mowed the grass, and from the Explo students who volunteered at the site for 4 hours. The group took advantage of this extra help to clear the pathway and the space under the pergola and lay a fresh layer of pea stone. They also pruned, mulched the shrubs, and the area along the fence, which allowed them to finish strong, with the park regaining a fresh look of a well maintained community space.
