Summary

Chatham Square Neighborhood Association has worked together since 2012 to steward the area. They worked hard to turn Lewis St. Park into the incredible community space that it is today. The space is widely used by a diverse range of people in the community and most especially children who love the playground and the splash pad. Drew and Beth hosted two community clean-up events which were a big success. We focused on spreading pine bark mulch, picking up trash and weeding. We also planted a Ninebark shrub in a recently cleared area of the park. The energy of the clean up day was so inspiring, with a lot of enthusiasm for the park shared by old and new volunteers alike.
