Summary
PARK ON NASH (EMERITUS) Greenspace group met few times this summer to perform stewardship activities in the site. Early in the season, the group leader removed the bricks lining the path inside the site as the bricks imposed tripping hazard to the site users. He removed the bricks and transplanted hostas along the path to create a natural boundary. He notified his neighbors about each work day. Work days were accompanied by stewardship of existing vegetation and restoration by planting a shrub. Common Grounds student crew helped the group by spreading new stone dust along the path, transplanting holly shrubs in sunnier spots in the site, digging soil to prepare for a pond and by weeding the invasive knotweed.
