Summary
TROUP GROUP has been a part of the Community Greenspace program for seven years. The group takes its name from the Troup School around which they have focused their greening efforts. Over the years, work has been done on Elm Street, Platt Street, Beers Street, and Edgewood Avenue, the four streets that surround the school. This year the group continued with work on the lot just behind the corner store on Edgewood Avenue. Garbage removal, maintenance, and the addition of new plants were all part of the process to revitalize the greenspace. The group also completed a lead remediation project in the front yard of 590 Elm Street. The group is committed, friendly, and enthusiastic and always open to new members.
