Summary
Batter Terrace is a new community greenspace site this summer, and in just several weeks the group has accomplished a great deal of planting and beautification on their street. The work this summer focused on restoring curbstrips by adding soil, creating brick walkways, and creating perennial beds of liriope, daylilies, and hostas; the new plants are flourishing under the large stately oaks. The group's commitment is high, with large turnouts of hard-working and good-humored volunteers each workday. The group even had a final barbeque at the end of the season to celebrate all the good work that had been accomplished.
