URI's Rock to Rock Team

The 15th Annual Rock to Rock is on April 29.  Rock to Rock is New Haven’s largest Earth Day celebration, a collaboration of 20 nonprofits doing environmental work in and around New Haven. URI is one of the lead organizers of the event and has 3 team goals we aim to accomplish by event day. Register today to ride or walk with URI and help us reach these goals:

1) 100 Trees Planted
2) 1,000 Trees Stewarded
3) $10,000 Raised

You can help!

First, register to participate. You get to choose from 3 payment options: Pay it forward ($30), Sustaining Rider ($15), or Everyone Rides ($5)!

Then, join URI’s team and help us work towards these three goals to get more trees planted and stewarded, and raise funds!

1) 100 Trees Planted: Become a Tree Ambassador! Win a Tree Ambassador hat when you identify 3 people to adopt and water trees for URI to plant!

Find adopters for 5 trees and URI will also give you a bottle of maple syrup from Yale Forests.

2) 1,000 Trees Stewarded: Become a Tree De-Viner and protect trees from invasive vines! Win a URI green winter beanie when you volunteer for 3 de-vining workdays.

Volunteer 5 times and we’ll also give you a bottle of Yale Forest maple syrup. The next volunteer opportunity is tomorrow, Sat 3/11 at 9 am in Blake Field.

3) $10,000 Raised: Become a URI Rock to Rock Fundraiser by following this link and clicking on the gray “FUNDRAISE” button. This is where you set up a fundraising page to invite your friends and family to support your ride or walk.

Rock to Rock will give you a tee-shirt (see tee design below) for raising $100 by April 3, a free week of Breathing Room yoga for raising $250, an Olmo canvas bag for raising $500, and a local restaurant gift card for raising $1000. Help URI raise $10,000 for tree planting and greenspace improvements in New Haven!
