Help grow New Haven’s urban forest by requesting a tree for your streetscape and committing to water it. 


Volunteer With Us

Volunteer with a Community Greenspace

  • Sign up for a specific volunteer event at a local greenspace site in New Haven.
  • Sign up to volunteer to help maintain the Botanical Garden of Healing Dedicated to Victims of Gun Violence on Saturdays from 10-noon (June-July).

Become a Tree Ambassador

  • Help find New Haven residents willing to adopt and care for newly planted street trees. Check out the Sign up Genius for special Tree Ambassador events.
  • Learn more about the Tree Ambassador program.

Find a Site Near You

  • Explore the Greenspace Map to locate the site closest to your home. These groups work weekly throughout June and July and some work year-round.  Check out the Sign up Genius to find the times when your local group meets to improve your nearest site.
