Summary
Russo Park is a rectangular green strip running north south between Chapel Street to Wooster Street along DePalma Ct. It is the site of CitySeed's weekly Wooster Square Farmers' Market. Over the past 4 years volunteers from the group Friends of Russo Park have installed four perennial beds, a stone dust pathway and many trees & shrubs along a row of mature white pines on the eastern border of the park.<br> The group did a wonderful job this year maintaining the site and adding many more shrubs and perennials. The work has been praised by many of the park's users. The New Haven Parks Department plans to install an irrigation system to further enhance the site and preserve its plantings.
