The webinar is hosted by the Hixon Center for Urban Sustainability at the Yale School of the Environment, and co-convened by CT DEEP, Sustainable CT, and SCRCOG. Speakers will share tree canopy and temperature data trends in Connecticut’s 10 largest cities to guide tree planting to address environmental inequities. Dr. Shijuan Chen will present satellite data analysis for 10 cities, and Colleen Murphy-Dunning will describe how the data has been applied in New Haven to drive more impactful tree planting efforts.
