Saving Trees from Vines
Event time
The winter is a perfect time to cut vines that are taking down older trees and preventing new trees from growing. If we cut the vines while dormant, the vines will not look dead in the summer but will not be able to make more seeds. It feels invigorating to be out in the cold doing good work with good people. As a bonus the heavy clothing protects tree savers from thorns.
Please join us and fight climate change. You may bring your own hand tools – no chain saws please. URI will provide tools and training.
