Tree Planting in Honor of Yale Staff Milestones
Event time
Each spring and fall we plant trees on Yale Campus in honor of staff celebrating a milestone year at Yale. These wonderful, dedicated employees have chosen to have trees planted in lieu of receiving a gift from the University. URI is seeking volunteers to help plant 6-8 trees on May 7 near the Yale athletic fields. This event is co-hosted by URI, Yale HR, and the Association of Yale Alumni. Honorees are invited to come plant the trees with us at 9 am, or they may choose to come view the plantings and take a photo with the trees at 11 am.
URI will provide work gloves and all the tools and materials needed to plant the trees. Please bring drinking water, sun or rain gear depending on the weather, and wear closed-toe shoes and clothes that can get dirty.
