Summary

The Boys and Girls Club Greenspace group began late in the season. This group began in late July and finished out the season strong in early August. The main goal of this group was to teach children about the importance of planting and taking care of the environment. The Boys and Girls Club, lead by an intern, had four workdays, where the kids learned to plant perennials, mulch, and maintain their plantings. One of the most rewarding parts of this Greenspace was watching the children grow in their knowledge of planting and of the environment. There now exists a beautiful flowerbed and rows of Hostas as evidence of their hard work this summer.
