Summary

The Newhall and Division group originally started in 1997 working along the Newhall and Division streetscape. In 2012, the group changed their status to an active group from an emeritus status in 2012. This a hard-working group of neighbours, who are dedicated to the beautification of the neighbourhood. The first half of the 2014 season was dedicated to stewardship of previous Greenspace plantings and the Farmington Canal. They replaced a stump with a beautiful Golden Rain Tree, and continued work in the canal by planting a Blue Atlas Cedar, a Swamp White Oak and a Kwanzan Cherry. The group finished off the season with a huge lead remediation project. Despite obstacles during plantings, the Newhall and Division Greenspace Group demonstrated great commitment for the project and warmly welcomed all new additions to the team.
