Summary

The Beaver Ponds Urban Oasis relished another great Summer in collaboration with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Thanks to the leadership of Nan, the group was able to add another trail that branches off from the main one midway. This new path adds a scenic walk that appreciates the pine and cedar trees planted in prior years. Thanks to USFWS, there is also a wonderful new footbridge leading from the field into the evergreen-adorned trail. Aside from clearing the trail of invasives, we did lots of weeding in the oasis, like removing willow trees that were blocking the view of the oasis and removing porcelain berry before it went to seed.
