Summary

Every Wednesday evening for decades, the Friends of Beaver Ponds Park have gathered to nurture their cherished green space. Celebrating their 20th year of stewardship, this diverse and close-knit group infused every moment with joy and excitement as they continued their dedicated care for the park. Each meeting began under the grand catalpa tree, where members sat on stone benches, sharing introductions, announcements, and laughter as they planned their evening’s work. This year, their collective energy and passion led to remarkable achievements. From volunteers delving deep into the park to remove invasive species, to kids uniting to push large wheelbarrows of weeds and debris to the designated piles, everyone played a vital role. They tirelessly removed invasive species threatening the park's ecosystem, added vibrant bursts of color to their lush garden beds with new flowering perennials, and even revitalized the long-neglected wildflower boulder garden. This mighty family of volunteers made an incredible impact, ensuring that Beaver Ponds Park remains a beautiful and thriving haven for all!
