2026 Greenspace Report

After years of contention between neighbors and developers, the Friends of Kensington Playground won a resolution to keep the space as a shaded space for everyone to enjoy. After the city installed a new playground in December, the group was extremely excited to continue working in the park. Every Saturday morning, the group meets under the shade of the park’s many London Plane trees to continue to beautify the playground. Since the community saved this park from development, it has continued to grow and improve each year under the care of this phenomenal group of volunteers.
