Summary

Year after year, the group of women at Shepard and Huntington continue to demonstrate their commitment to greening and bettering their neighborhood. This year the group was able to carve a path, fill it with stone dust, build a raised bed, and plant several bee and bird attracting flowers around the garden. Even though the work was hard-going and sweat-inducing, the group persevered and stuck to the design they worked on at the beginning of the summer. The site also received careful stewardship, and was blessed with an on-site water source, which will without a doubt help the site become the “Oasis of Peace” it was intended to become.
