Summary
The 'Neighbors Uniting' group was highly successful in their first year with the Greenspace program. Thus far the geographic area for this group has centered on the intersections of Young Street, Osborn Avenue, and Whalley Avenue. Residents forged connections with one another and worked on a variety of projects from tree planting, to front yard lead remediation, to perennial and shrub plantings. After steadily building momentum throughout the 2010 Greenspace season, they are well-poised to continue lead remediation and front yard work next year, as well as some potential tree-planting.
