All Hands for New Haven Parks!

Strategic Plan

In partnership with the Parks Department, URI has gathered public input to inform the City of New Haven’s “All Hands New Haven Parks Strategic Plan” at the Park Department’s request. Review this presentation to learn more about the vision, goals and timeline.  We working synthesizing findings from the surveys and meetings in a final report that will be shared at the Parks Commission Meeting on May 20, 2026. 

This spring the City is mobilizing to address the widespread concern of litter.  Many Parks Friends groups have tirelessly worked to fight this problem as well as the City. It is budget season. If you want to show your support for the proposed Parks Department budget, which will help to address the goals identified in the All Hands Strategic Plan, please show up to testify at City Hall at 6 pm on April 29.

These surveys build off of the Parks survey conducted in 2023 and will inform the All Hands for New Haven Parks Strategic Plan with the goal of launching in July 2026.
