A Global Walk with Bill
Event time
The Global Walk with Bill will take place on Saturday 19 October 2024 at 3p-3:30p Greenwich Mean Time. You are invited to find a meaningful place to– at that time–go for a brief walk or other contemplation. In doing so, you will join a collective of persons touched by Professor Bill Burch.
William R. Burch, Jr. (1933-2024) passed away on July 16th. Bill was a truly extraordinary person, scholar, teacher, mentor, activist, and so much more. Bill was most joyful on his walks in nature, in places all around the world. We are inviting you to join us on A Global Walk with Bill—contemplating his impact on each of us and all of us, and celebrating the many landscapes he touched, from urban parks to forests to high mountain peaks. It is a global opportunity to set out on a short journey - to pause and reflect, to wonder and observe, knowing that we are in the company of each other as we remember Bill.
