Summary
The Lewis St Park Group, or officially the Chatham Square Neighborhood Association, stewards a beautiful park space that has many spaces for kids, including a large playground area, a splash pad, bouncy animals to ride. In this space, the group hosted a very successful block party and workday this summer. With around 30 participants, the event was able to truly bring the community together and maintain community involvement in stewarding the space. After putting down lots of perennials and mulch (plus one shrub!), there was a wonderful performance by Cyril the Sorcerer, a wonderful New Haven-local environmental magic educational magician.
