Summary
Cedar Hill is an emeritus group that focuses on stewardship activities throughout the neighborhood. “Betty’s Medium,” a small island in the middle of Rock Street near the entrance into East Rock Park features a beautiful perennial garden planted in years past. A corner garden where Rock and Grace Streets intersect features more perennials planted by the Cedar Hill group. A third garden at the end of Cedar Hill Avenue, called “219 Garden,” also displays vibrant shrubs for the community to enjoy. The group spent this summer rotating its work sessions between these three spaces, with the most attention focused on weeding, trimming, raking, and mulching the largest of the three spaces, “Betty’s Medium.”
