Summary
The Newhall-Division group has done extensive and dramatic work in front yards and in planting street trees around the neighborhood. They returned this year from emeritus status to focus on stewardship of neighborhood trees and to work in 5 front yards. The four trees that the group planted this year will add color and shade to the neighborhood. A core group of neighbors was a welcoming sight on the streets every Thursday evening, and neighborhood children frequently joined in the hard work of beautifying street tree pits, maintaining front yards, and planting new perennials.
Other activity
Worked in 4 yards and spread 2 yards of topsoil.
