Summary

LITTLE NASH (EMERITUS) began the summer with weeding and stewardship of Nash Street and the triangle tulip garden in front of 45 Nash. As two previously planted trees (a serviceberry and a ginko) had been destroyed due either to vandalism or a snow removal truck during February's winter storms, the group banded together to remove the unruly stumps and replant a serviceberry and an elm in their places. Further efforts gravitated toward the lovely corner park at Nash and Edwards, and the last part of the summer was devoted to restoring this Greenspace through weeding, mulching, and planting numerous perennials in the open spaces. The group also pruned much of the large maple tree's branches, opening the park more to the light and passers-by.
