Under the guidance of Justin Elicker, the executive director, and Olivia Pearman, the education and outreach intern, the summer’s activities were focused on the removal of invasive species, predominantly autumn olive, mugwort, bittersweet, swallowwort, Japanese barberry, and phragmites. The seven-person Common Ground High School crew, the URI intern and Olivia worked alongside volunteers to clear invasives.
