Summary
Arch Street was one of the very first groups to work with the URI Greenspace program beginning in 1995. Since then the group had converted a row of three abandoned house lots into a beautiful neighborhood park, marked by a striking wave-shaped fence designed by Yale architecture students. This summer the group was able to do a large amount of cleanup, pruning, and mulching with the support of workers from local organization Teen Challenge. While much work remains to be done, the park looks significantly better than it did at the beginning of the season and has become a usable space again.
