Summary
In its 4th year in the Greenspace program, the Believe in Me group has continued on its quest to beautify its corner of Newhallville by transforming its streetscape from barren and treeless, to a shaded, colorful, and inviting streetscape that its inhabitants can be proud of. This summer, under the leadership of Mr. James Walker, who is very passionate for his neighborhood, they planted 3 cherry kwanzan trees, pruned, weeded, mulched and planted perennials on Argyle Street. At the peak of the summer when the plants started to show signs of drought stress, the kids from the Believe In Me Empowerment Corporation (BIMEC) summer camp stepped in and watered every day, which enabled the plants to quickly regain their luxuriousness at a time when many other plants in the city looked weak.
