Summary
Ms. Betty Thompson, her daughter Kenya Martin, and their family continued to faithfully beautify their Cedar Hill neighborhood this summer, as they have since 2004. We began the summer working at the median on English Drive, followed by the 219 Garden at the end of Cedar Hill Avenue, and finished the summer at the Ms. Betty Thompson Corner at Rock Street and Grace Street. Although each location had become overgrown during the spring and early summer, by the end of the each workday the form and beauty of the space would emerge from the weeds—one of the most rewarding parts of stewardship.
