Summary
The Chatham Square Greenspace group became an emeritus group this summer. In previous years, the Greenspace group planted many trees around the park and shrubs and perennials around the benches at the center of the park. The group is responsible for converting a neglected park into a tree lined garden oasis. The park is populated with area residents throughout the day. This year the group has maintained the garden and replaced one tree that was vandalized. The group has also made an effort to protect the other trees in the park from future vandalism by tying loose fencing around the trees and spraying them with an animal repellent spray.
Other activity
The group sprayed trees with an animal repellent and wrapped them in wire fencing to protect from pitbull abuse.
