Summary

This is the first year that Crossfit Surgeons has been a URI Greenspace group. 1175 State, home to the old Robby Len swimsuit factory, was a concrete jungle at the beginning of the summer. Crossfit, Digital Surgeons, and several other small businesses are located on the property. Employees of Crossfit and Digital Surgeons sought to beautify the property by planting curbstrip trees and creating a garden on the corner of State and James. Over three workdays, this group planted 8 trees and even broke asphalt to create a beautiful corner garden. Though the group had a late start in the season, they were able to accomplish much in transforming this industrial area.
