Summary
The Morris Cove Planters Greenspace group has been part of URI's Greenspace program for five years. The group which began with maintaining the Pardee Seawall Park has grown to plant trees around the neighborhood. The core members of the group are committed neighbors who come together through their work in the Greenspace program as well as the district management team. This year the group planted four interesting trees in the Lighthouse Point Park and five trees in the neighborhood. Among the ones planted in the neighborhood, two of them were replacement trees that were lost during last year's hurricane. The group also mulched the back corner of the Pardee Seawall park where they had previously planted low growing junipers.
