Summary
On Wednesday nights along 3rd Street and Howard Avenue, the Friends of City Point Greenspace group was a lively and conspicuous presence! No fewer than fifteen community members - including adults, children, and teenagers - gathered each workday to beautify 3rd Street, as well as portions of Greenwich Avenue, Howard Avenue, Hallock Avenue, and 4th St. The group, which celebrates its fifth year as a Community Greenspace group, succeeded in planting a total of seventeen trees, installing six perennial gardens around existing trees, and maintaining previous years' plantings. With families, friends, and neighbors working and learning together, the group created a colorful and inviting tree-lined streetscape.
