Summary
This is the 4th year that Friends of Griswold Park has been an active Greenspace Group. In 2010, the space began as a grass field with a few large shade trees. Since then, the group has transformed the park into a beautiful space, with a large garden and a grove of diverse new trees, as well as plants for the neighbourhood to enjoy. This summer, the group primarily focused on the maintenance of previous year's plantings by weeding and mulching the large garden at the back of the park. They also decided to replace the two stumps in the Quinnipiac Ave curbstrip that were knocked down by vehicles during the year. The stumps were replaced with two Kwanzan Cherries with the help of several enthusiastic group members from the neighbourhood.
