Summary
In their 6th year of existence as a Greenspace, this summer, the Friends of Griswold Park focused on maintaining and revitalizing Griswold Triangle, which has now become a well maintained flower garden, adding a colorful touch to the adjacent Griswold Park, which is run by the city’s department of Parks and Recreation. Powered by a team of 3 dedicated volunteers, Mr. Bill Goodale, Dwight and Marge Ottenbreit, this summer, in addition to watering the flowers on a daily basis, they planted 2 butterfly bushes, 2 spireas and a Cornelian dogwood tree to replace a dead tree on Quinnipiac Ave.
