Summary
IVY NARROW (EMERITUS) has been a Community Greenspace group since 2000, and has graduated to emeritus status after an impressive restoration program. Once a vacant lot, the current site is now a beautiful garden, complete with a pond, a hard terrace for cook-outs and activities, and myriad shrub, flower and tree species that attract birds and butterflies. The water lilies, in full bloom by the end of the summer, are a particularly gorgeous highlight in this garden. This year, the Thomas family, who lead the site's care, concentrated on weeding, mulching, and pruning. An overgrown cedar was removed and transplanted to another site, while existing day lilies that weren't flowering at their full potential were transferred to the newly open, sunnier space.
