Summary

During their second year as part of the Greenspace program, Liberty Square Homes residents came together to steward their perennial beds and trees from last year. At the same time, Liberty Square continued its efforts to beautify their community and the streetscape; the group planted a new perennial bed to showcase the sign welcoming visitors to their co-op. Liberty Square boasts a core group of committed volunteers who come out each week to water, weed, mulch, and plant. Together, this close-knit community planted over 30 perennials and shrubs. The group plans to continue transforming the areas surrounding their co-op by creating more perennial beds in coming years.
