Summary
The Friends of Monitor Square has been actively improving this monument park since 2009. This year, due to declining participation, the group became an Emeritus Greenspace group and focused on stewardship of past plantings. On Saturdays throughout the summer two committed volunteers spread compost and mulch and planted daylilies delivered by URI. With the completion and continued maintenance of this park, Monitor Square remains an important asset in the West River neighborhood.
