Summary
Monitor Square Park is a sunny, tree-lined park dividing Chapel Street and Derby Avenue in the West River neighborhood and a well-used spot for people to walk their dog or enjoy some fresh air. This is the group’s 16th year in the GreenSpace program, and their long-term care and investment in the park is easy to see. John and Robin continued their dedicated stewardship this summer, coming out every Saturday morning to water, weed, mulch, and rebuild tree donuts. We also added three agastaches to the center garden bed to bring some fresh color and support pollinators. After so many years of consistent work, the park is welcoming, well-tended, and clearly loved.
