Summary

This is one of the older greenspace groups and they have been very productive with tree planting and front yard work in years past and have transformed the neighborhood with lots of participation. They were thinking of becoming emeritus and meeting only on an as-needed basis, however, they were very productive with stewardship this summer and met almost weekly, weather permitting. We pruned almost all the trees in the neighborhood from Winchester to the Farmington canal and from Division to Hazel st. We added mulch from the parks department to many younger trees. We also pruned and mulched all the trees at the Farmington Canal between Hazel and Starr street. There are still young trees that were too small to prune scattered around the neighborhood, so they should revisit these in the years to come.
