Summary
The Peace Garden accomplished its planting goals in 2009. As an Emeritus group, its mission is to maintain the garden in preparation for The International Day of Peace events observed annually on September 21. They are wholeheartedly committed to weekly workdays for mulching, weeding, and pruning activities. The group simply hopes to inspire passer-bys to join them in preserving this surprisingly serene location amidst a main thoroughfare.
