Summary
This summer marked the New Haven Dog Park Cooperative's third year as a URI Greenspace group. This group acts as stewards and advocates of the community dog park tucked away in the backside corner of Yale's Divinity School along St. Ronan Street. They began three years ago to revitalize the park and mend relations between park users and local residents. In 2006, a willow tree and 64 privet shrubs were planted along the park grounds. In addition to the plantings, they installed a beautiful bluestone bench and worked hard to control erosion in the park. This summer they met several times to maintain the dog park by spreading wood chips and pruning the vegetation.
