Summary

TROUP GROUP entered their 12th year with the Community Greenspace Program. At the beginning of the summer, the group focused mainly on maintaining what had been planted in previous seasons. This included watering, mulching, and pruning. The group then moved to planting five trees. Three Goldenrain trees were planted on Beers Street, as well as a Zelkova and a Crabapple 'Prariefire.' It was the group's goal to also fill the entire street with perennials. Each neighbor came out in order to plant perennials in front of their houses and the houses of others. By the end of the summer, each house had a lovely plot of perennials. The whole street was involved in this group and it is evident by all of the beautiful work that was done. In order to celebrate, the group leader threw an extravagant party to honor all of the work that had been done.
