Summary

The White Street Greenspace group completed its second season of beautification this summer with URI. Led by Tommy Joe of Thomas Chapel Church, the group accomplished its goals of adding an additional flowering tree to the streetscape and more flowering perennial plantings in several tree pits. White Street residents joined forces with Thomas Chapel Church volunteers to remove concrete from the sidewalk to plant a Japanese tree lilac on a hot June day. The stretch of sidewalk along the Cornell Scott Hill Health Center parking lot is no longer barren thanks to their efforts.
