Summary
Quarry Park is home to over a century of history, a great diversity of native plants and animals, and a dedicated community of Greenspace volunteers. This group has worked tirelessly to combat invasives, reforest the park with native plants, and highlight the special historical areas and artifacts throughout the trail system. This summer, the group focused on removing Burning Bush to improve visibility, cleared and widened the trail system, added more signage highlighting the historical areas of the park, and planted new native plants. This Greenspace provides a beautiful, forested respite in Fair Haven Heights. Thanks to the hard work of this group of tight-knit volunteers, it has both a vibrant past and a bright future.
