Summary
Dover Beach is a beloved park situated along the banks of the Quinnipiac River in Fair Haven, but this group's stewardship extends beyond to a garden on the corner of Chatham and Front Streets and an urban oasis next to I-91. The park itself is a busy hub on the waterfront, especially on hot days when people come to cool off in the splash pad or just enjoy a cool breeze. This summer we focused heavily on the Chatham and Front garden where we expanded one garden bed and created a brand new one. We also added to the Butterfly Garden and planted several agastaches in the Urban Oasis with the help of Common Grounds students. It has been a busy summer at Dover Beach and the group’s hard work has paid off in their many gardens that bring vibrancy to the neighborhood!
